Founders office at Cypher wallet

2023-2025

I joined as the first product designer, owning everything from mobile UX and UI to branding, design systems, and visual identity.

Projects I Led:

  • Bridge redesign: simplified token transfers across multiple chains.

  • Wallet dashboard: unified swaps, staking, and delegation flows.

  • Staking & delegation interfaces: clear progress, rewards, and confirmations.

  • Branding / Yellow Dog identity: card, merch, banners, and marketing visuals.

  • Cypher Card design: physical and virtual card experience, highlighting premium feel, trust, and transparency.

Cypher wallet

Cypher Wallet is a YC-backed multichain crypto wallet and payments protocol built to bridge the gap between Web3 infrastructure and everyday spending. It supports 15+ blockchains, offers a non-custodial wallet, and includes a physical + virtual card so users can spend stablecoins or crypto at any Visa-accepting merchant. It launched its native token (CYPR) in October 2025, listed it on major exchanges like Binance Alpha and KuCoin, and rapidly gained global accessibility and liquidity.

Impact

Users began showing how Cypher made crypto feel approachable and usable. The Cypher Card sparked a wave of posts on X and Reddit, with unboxing videos and photos highlighting the yellow dog design. People treated it like a tangible extension of their wallet, showing pride in both the card’s look and the smooth experience.

The wallet and bridge flows proved their value in everyday use. Users from the Philippines, Vietnam, and India shared stories of bridging tokens, staking rewards, and making purchases with the card. Tasks that used to feel complex now took seconds, and fewer errors meant more confidence. The dashboard’s clarity allowed users to manage swaps, stake, and delegate without confusion.

At events like Token2049 and ETHSingapore, the Yellow Dog branding, banners, and merch drew crowds. Users could instantly recognize the Cypher identity, which made adoption and trust faster. Engagement and daily activity rose, proving that design didn’t just make the product easier to use. It created an experience people wanted to be part of.

Wallet & Bridge UX

  • 40% faster transaction initiation: simplified flows, visual “From → To” chain selectors, and auto-filled tokens cut steps from ~9 seconds to ~5 seconds.

  • 49% fewer drop-offs mid-transfer: clearer fees, confirmations, and micro-interactions boosted completion rates.

  • Error prevention: security warnings helped 5 out of 6 first-time users avoid costly mistakes, like sending tokens to the wrong address.

Staking & Delegation

  • Redesigned dashboards show progress and expected rewards at every step.

  • Users can confidently stake and delegate without confusion, increasing participation and reducing support requests.

Cypher Card & Branding

The Cypher Card page immediately communicates value through clean design. Features like Apple & Google Pay support, 0% USDC loading fee, no forex markup, and a metal card option are presented clearly, showing users exactly what they are getting. That transparency builds trust before a single card is ordered.

Real-world usage proved the design worked. The card was quickly adopted across regions where crypto is actively used. Users shared unboxing stories and photos, treating the metal card as a tangible extension of their wallet. Offering premium features like $199/year for a metal card with no forex markup demonstrated that users valued both clarity and design integrity.

Supporting 15+ chains, the card positioned Cypher as a unified payment and wallet platform rather than a fragmented crypto app. Daily utility expanded beyond trading and staking. Small design decisions like clear pricing, international payment support, and tangible, premium card aesthetics, drove stronger retention, word-of-mouth growth, and brand credibility.

Social impact

The Cypher Card turned crypto from a concept into something you could hold, tap, and use. People across India, Vietnam, and the Philippines shared stories of paying for groceries or coffee with it. For many, it was their first real-world crypto moment.

Design made that possible. A friendlier tone, bright identity, and clear product experience lowered the entry barrier for thousands of new users. Cypher became more than a wallet — it became a way to make Web3 feel simple, human, and part of everyday life.
